Assuming you are one of the 95%+ who run Microsoft Windows you need to follow these instructions to configure your computer to connect to the internet. Configuration for different versions of windows IE 95,98,ME,NT,2000,XP will vary slightly. For Apple Mac, the procedure is the same, some of the menus are called slightly different names.

Press your START button. Locate the settings option and select Network and Dial-up connections.
Select Make new connection and the connection wizard will start, click next after every set of instructions.
Call the Connection DiscusGroup.com
Select connect using phone line if your modem is linked directly to the telephone socket or network if you connect via a server or another computer
Enter the user name as Discus
Enter the password as Group
Select the modem installed within the computer
Now enter the access number above. If you have caller line identity with held, add 1470, in front of the number
Click add shortcut to the desktop and click FINISH

If you want to use our SMTP server you will need to include with Microsoft Outlook or your email client our details which are:

On the Tools menu select accounts.
Select your email account and click on Properties
Click on the servers tab
In the SMTP box enter SMTP.discus-group.co.uk
On the connections tab, select DiscusGroup.com account in the connect to box
Click on OK

Thats all you need do now except click start connection now to connect to the internet
